Welcome to Homestead Veterinary Care. We’re the place where pet parents know they can bring their four legged family members for superb and friendly veterinary care. We have nine extremely caring supporting staff, who work hand-in-hand with our knowledgeable veterinarians to ensure your pet is treated with respect and dignity during their visit with us. This, along with our love of animals, guides us in our compassionate practice. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young and healthy pets, early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages, and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime.

Alison French, DVM, Certified Veterinary Accupuncturist
Rhinelander native Alison French graduated from UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. After three years of small animal practice in Stoughton, she returned to Rhinelander and the Boyd Animal Hospital. She purchased Boyd Animal Hospital in 2003. Besides providing high quality medicine to her patients, she has broadened her skill set to include Traditional Chinese Acupuncture. She graduated from Chi University in June 2023 with her mixed animal acupuncture degree. She is enjoying helping dogs, cats, and horses with acupuncture. She enjoys spending her spare time with her two children and the menagerie of critters at her house. Her love for horses is very apparent, as she owns many of them. She enjoys sharing her team of horses with others by offering wagon rides at events in town and will even provide her team for weddings.
Kristy Sipple
Kristy Sipple was born and raised in Shawano, WI where she grew up on a small hobby farm filled with horses, goats, chickens, dogs and cats. She attended the University of Wisconsin River Falls where she obtained her Health and Human Performances degree and then continued her education at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN for chiropractic. Working with animals was always something that Dr. Kristy longed to do and soon after obtaining her chiropractic degree, she continued her education at the Healing Oasis and Wellness Center in Racine, WI for Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy.
