Welcome to Homestead Veterinary Care. We’re the place where pet parents know they can bring their four legged family members for superb and friendly veterinary care. We have nine extremely caring supporting staff, who work hand-in-hand with our knowledgeable veterinarians to ensure your pet is treated with respect and dignity during their visit with us. This, along with our love of animals, guides us in our compassionate practice. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young and healthy pets, early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages, and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime.

Alison French, DVM
Rhinelander native Alison French graduated from UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. After three years of small animal practice in Stoughton, she returned to Rhinelander and the Boyd Animal Hospital. She purchased Boyd Animal Hospital in 2003. Besides providing high quality medicine to her patients, she really enjoys performing surgery. She is always up for a challenge and loves it when a beloved pet benefits from her medical and/or surgical skills. She enjoys spending her spare time with her two children and the menagerie of critters at her house. Her love for horses is very apparent, as she owns many of them. She enjoys trail riding, driving her pony, and performing with the Northwoods Equestrian Drill Team.
